Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle Research Fund - Applications are open

Applications are being sought from scientific researchers to support studies into the Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle Aquila audax fleayi.
Applications that address the key research priorities identified by the Fund and/or align with the objectives of the “Threatened Tasmanian Eagles Recovery Plan 2006-2010” will be viewed favourably.
There is no minimum amount on offer, but a total of $75,000 is available during 2020.

The role

Science Communication Coordinator - ESA

In conjunction with the Media Working Group, the Science Communication Coordinator will help plan, develop and distribute content to promote the ESA, ecology, and the work of ecologists in Australia; and advise on strategic direction for ESA’s public communication and engagement activities. This role reports to the Board through the Media Working Group and Executive Officer.

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Koala Physiological Ecology and Distribution Modelling, Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment, Western Sydney University

The Hawkesbury Institute for the Environment is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to focus on research related to the effects of ambient temperature on koala feeding behaviour and nutrition, and energy and water balance, and incorporate findings into a mechanistic species distribution model.

Salary Package: $88,523 - $92,957 per annum plus 17% Superannuation
